After the Cambridge Analytica scandal, yet another data leak recently impacted millions of Facebook users. This time, users shared their data through an app called myPersonality.
Shockingly, experts believe that people who shared private information about their personality with the app can easily be recognized through their unique traits privy to the app.
Facebook officially suspended the app on April 7.

A Facebook spokesperson explained that the app was suspended due to a possible violation of Facebook’s policy.
The social networking platform that’s already in news for the Cambridge Analytica scandal started its investigation of apps such as myPersonality after it was revealed Cambridge Analytica used a similar app to collect data for political gain.
More than six million people used the app and shared information from their Facebook profiles on the project. All this data was then anonymised and shared with other researchers, New Scientist reported.
